“In first grade, I was the kid who would go around the classroom straightening up the rows of desks,” she said. “Then one day after my teacher brought another teacher over to see what I had done with my art assignment, I was hooked. I discovered the well of creativity within me. And I was going to tap it. Quickly replacing any desire to be an astronaut, this ‘thing’ I discovered now had me wanting to be an artist.
